AS a new mum, I am absolutely appalled at the lack of baby feeding areas in Redditch.
I don't know about other mums but personally, I don't wish to breastfeed my baby in a toilet. It's not hygienic and it's not acceptable.
The only place I have found so far that has an acceptable mother and baby room is Sainsbury's. They have a comfy chair and what's more, the toilet is enclosed in a cubicle at the other end of the room.
Congratulations to the three stores in the town centre which are happy for you to breastfeed within them.
Yes, that's right, only three stores approve of us mums doing the most natural thing in the world.
Are we really such a bunch of prudes that we find someone feeding a baby offensive? I thought that sort of attitude had been left behind with the Ark.
Obviously, judging by the lack of support for breastfeeding, it wasn't.
Come on mums, make a stand and feed those babies wherever you are.
