THERE was a double dose of mixed match action for Vale Golf and Country Club members who recorded a brace of victories.
Brailes was the initial venue where the visitors' success saw them return home with a 5-3 win and the Gibbs Mitchell Plate.
Cleobury Mortimer were next in line and the scoreline was the same at the finish.
However, only the fantastic efforts of head green keeper Mark Heath and his staff, allowed play to go ahead after the previous night's thunderstorms and their work was rewarded when the hosts recorded another 5-3 victory.
