DROITWICH Spa's Norbury Theatre has announced the exciting line-up for its spring and summer season of films.

After the success of its autumn cinema season, the Friar Street venue hopes the coming films will entertain both young and old alike.

Every film will be shown at 7.30pm with tickets costing only £3 per person. Tickets are available on the door, which opens half an hour before each showing. British cinema success Mrs Henderson Presents (12) will be the first film to be shown today (Wednesday). This will be followed by Oscar-winning film The Constant Gardener (15) on June 14.

Wallace and Gromit's latest adventure, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (U), will be shown on June 28 and The March of the Penguins (U) will take centre stage on July 12.

Box office manager Jonathan Yeldham said: "The cinema showings have proved quite popular at the theatre.

"At the moment we will be running two showings per month, but that will change for next season when we will be increasing the number of showings because of the demand. The venue is a popular choice for film showings because it is cheap, comfortable and has good projection equipment. It is also in the centre of Droitwich.

"We hope that people will visit the Norbury to see films and then come back to see other productions that we put on here."
