Staff at the Townsend Veterinary Practice are supporting national microchipping month in June.

They will be holding £10 pet chipping sessions at the North Street Estate centre to encourage owners to get their pets microchipped.

National microchipping month is being co-ordinated by the Kennel Club, which manages the pet finding service Petlog.

The Spa vets will be holding its £10 chipping service between 3 and 4pm on weekdays by appointment. It is also an opportunity for pet owners to discover more about the importance of microchipping and how to avoid the devastating experience of losing a pet. The process is quick and painless and will give peace of mind to the owner as they can ensure they are reunited with their pets sooner rather than later.

For vets, dog wardens, rescue centres, police and local councils it is a simple and quick procedure that can help an individual owner.

For further information about pet chipping call the Townsend Veterinary Practice on 01905 772002.
