EXHALL & Wixford will be looking for a vital victory when they travel to Stratford Bards in the Premier Division.

Simon Hollands' side remain unbeaten this season but two abandoned games, including Saturday's match with Shipston, leave them in third behind early pace-setters Bretforton and Tanworth.

Bards may be in the bottom half of the table but skipper Hollands is expecting a tough test.

"At the start of the season we had earmarked our first four opponents - including Bards - as our closest challengers," Hollands said.

"It has been a disappointing start because of the weather and the long-range forecast does not look good for this weekend.

"We are OK with availability but no-one has managed to find any form because of having played just one-and-a-half games."

Every game outside the top division was abandoned leaving the sides anxious to play some cricket.

Division One rivals Bidford and Alcester & Ragley take to the road with trips to Ashton-under-Hill and Claverdon while Great Alne head to Earlswood IIs in Division Three where Temple Grafton entertain Bearley Bears. The top two in Division Five come face-to-face when Cookhill play host to early leaders Blockley.
