A NUMBER of big sides could go out of the National Village Knockout this weekend.

That's the prediction of Exhall & Wixford captain Simon Hollands whose side must head to Leicestershire for a re-arranged third round tie with Cropston on Sunday.

"With rain forecast for the weekend the game could be decided by the toss of a coin or a bowling competition," the Exhall skipper explained. "We could easily see some of the bigger teams going out.

"We offered to travel to Cropston last Sunday but their wicket was underwater."

Astwood Bank are also involved in a rescheduled third round tie and will be heading to Colwall after the match at Jill Lane was washed out.
