Pupils from Hagley primary and Dodford and Tardebigge first schools also took part in the event, as well as year five pupils from the prep school.

The work performed was The King of Ireland's Son - a classic folk story with lyrics and tunes.

It was an original piece that was specially written for the day by Jonti Marks, head of English, and Richard Knight, music teacher, at the prep school.

The pupils then performed to parents from all the schools in the event.

Prep school head of music and event organiser Carole Bayliss said: "We had a lovely day and I really appreciated all the work the teachers had done in preparing the pupils."
