ARTY Hanbury First School pupils put their skills on display with the help of Telford artist David Gunning.ON DISPLAY: Artist David Gunning with Hanbury First School's Lucy Vivian, Abigail Trice, Alastair Witshire and Tom Chatterley-Cox and the sculpture they helped to make.
Mr Gunning spent three days with the year four pupils -before Easter teaching them a number of unusual scrubbing and printing techniques.
The pupils then put the techniques into practice making their own sculptures.
Last week he returned to help them put their individual works together to create a larger sculpture, which now hangs outside the school.
Year four teacher Vicky Bishop said: "Their sculptures were based on different patterns and textures.
"They probably won't get chance to do something like this again until they're older so its great that they got to do it at the age of eight or nine."
