FOLLOWING a recent plea in the Advertiser/Messenger, All Saints' Church in Bromsgrove has appointed a new organist.

David Morgan, aged 24, has been singing in the choir at St George's Church in his home town of Kidderminster.

Now, instead of being a chorister, he is to coach the choir at All Saints', which is delighted to have secured his services.

There are two good organs at All Saints.' A large Allen digital organ and a beautiful Italian Tamburini pipe organ. David is pleased to have this wealth of opportunities to exploit.

He is a very competent performer and an accomplished composer. He plays the organ, piano, euphonium, trombone and percussion.

His interests are wide ranging and despite his young age, David has already been an accompanist for choirs and soloists, both vocal and instrumental, and appeared with orchestras, wind bands, brass bands and big bands.

As a composer, his career includes premieres of his music in the Symphony Hall, Birmingham, and at the Banff International Music Festival in Canada. He is now involved in a wide range of composing and arranging projects.

All Saints' was quick to notice that in 2003 he was musical director for a Kidderminster Operatic Society production of West Side Story.

It could be that in future he will do something similar at All Saints' alongside the operatic and musical performances which take place there already.
