BROMSGROVE ambulance crew member Dawn Wilbraham has been named Hereford and Worcester Ambulance Service NHS Trust employee of the year.
Dawn (left), who works with the Trust's High Dependency Service in Bromsgrove, was presented with her award at a ceremony in Hereford Cathedral. She was nominated by colleagues who described her as "an inspiration and a perfect example to us all."
Dawn commented: "I am surprised and delighted to win this award. I have worked for the Ambulance Service for 4 years and really enjoy providing a service to our patients."
Three other staff from Bromsgrove were among the other award winners. Neil Musgrove and Adrian Walford, Bromsgrove based paramedics, were unable to attend the presentation but received the Queen's medal, which is presented to all emergency front line service staff who have achieved 20 years' service.
Maureen McCabe has also completed 20 years with the Ambulance Service. Starting her career with the Patient Transport Service she qualified as a Technician in 1993 and received the Ambulance Service Association medal.
Chief Executive Russell Hamilton commented: "This award ceremony is a celebration of the achievement of a great many people. In this Trust, everyone counts, whether they are a member of staff or one of our many volunteers, everyone makes a difference. Achievement is underpinned by great personal dedication. I want to recognise the challenges faced by those in the Trust and thank them for their hard work."
