STUDLEY drew their third consecutive game in Division Two when they shared the spoils at Wolverhampton-based Fordhouses.

In one of the few league games to reach a result, Studley batted first and posted a respectable 137-5 from 37 overs.

Adie Smith (31) and Brandon Miller (35) were the pick of the batsmen on a ground that made runs hard to come by.

And with Stuart Harris taking 4-52, the home side managed 120-8 from 34 overs leaving Studley with a winning draw.

"We have achieved all that we set out to do at the start of the season in that we have not lost a game," explained Studley skipper Richard Gregory. We just need to go that extra step now and get our first win."

But Gregory, who missed out on the Fordhouses trip, said the weather looked set to put the brakes on his side's good start to the season.

"The forecast is not good and our ground is already the wettest I've ever seen it," he added.

"We are hoping the league will let us play on another ground but we still need the rain to stop."

Studley face a bumper Bank Holiday double header with home games against Cannock on Saturday and Pelsall on Monday.

But tonight's Twenty20 match with Leamington has already been cancelled.

Redditch could find themselves challenging at the top of the table if results go their way this weekend. The Bromsgrove Road side are pencilled in to visitNewport on Saturday before heading to Beacon on Monday with back-to-back wins likely to lift them into the top two.

Rain washed out Redditch's clash with basement boys Whitchurch on Saturday.
