NEIGHBOURING giants West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers will both provide Kidderminster Harriers with pre-season friendly tests.

The Championship sides are the only two teams visiting Aggborough before the new Nationwide Conference campaign begins on Saturday, August 12.

Harriers head to Southern League sides Gloucester City, Cinderford Town, Bromsgrove Rovers, Stourport Swifts and Halesowen Town.

Their final match will be an intriguing county derby clash at Nationwide North side Worcester City.

Harriers' squad are back in training in early July and begin their friendlies on Thursday, July 13, at Gloucester.

West Brom, relegated from the Premiership, visit Kidderminster on July 15 and Wolves are the opponents on July 31.

The games are likely to draw healthy crowds with plenty of West Brom and Wolves fans living in the Wyre Forest area.

Manager Mark Yates' line-up will have a new look about it with a string of players released at the end of the 2005-06 campaign.

Yates has so far signed young rookie goalkeeper Steve Taylor from AFC Telford on a free transfer.

And midfielder Simon Russell yesterday penned a one-year deal to stay at the club for a third season.

Taylor and Russell join Luke Reynolds, Jonny Harkness, Jake Sedgemore, Russ Penn, Gavin Hurren and Michael McGrath in next season's squad. Yates is still waiting for an answer from winger Michael Blackwood.
