WORCESTER City have eased the burden on their St George's Lane surface by switching the club's youth team's games.

Next season, the youth development side will stage home Midland Floodlit Youth League fixtures at Bromyard Town's Delahay Meadow ground -- subject to obtaining approval at the league's annual meeting.

Having agreed a ground-share deal with Evesham United for next season, City moved fast to switch the youth team and avoid last season's pitch problems.

Meanwhile, City have altered their pre-season itinerary following Partick Thistle's decision to scrap their England tour.

City kick-off pre-season with home friendlies against Cheltenham on Saturday, July 15, and Rochdale on Tuesday, July 18. They face Evesham at Common Road on Saturday, July 22, before travelling to Gloucester City on Tuesday, July 25.

Three more fixtures at St George's Lane follow, against Bristol Rovers on Saturday, July 29, Sheffield United on Thursday, August 3, and Kidderminster on Saturday, August 5.
