ALCESTER Amateur Operatic Society (AAOS) will perform its next extravaganza at the Palace Theatre this summer.
After more than 40 years entertaining audiences at Alcester's Greig Hall, the group is moving to Redditch's newly-refurbished theatre to perform Fiddler on the Roof from June 20-24. The production is sponsored by Bidford-based Bloomfield Ltd.
The society is keen to inform supporters about the change of venue and thanked the Greig for its support over the years.
But to develop itself and to secure its financial future, it was decided the time was right to reach out to a wider audience and try a new venue.
Chairman Peter Woodman said: "We hope our loyal supporters will make the short journey from Alcester to Redditch so that they can still enjoy the high quality shows produced by our members.
"The society had a fantastic response to its call for new members through the local papers at Christmas time and is delighted to welcome many new (and some old!) faces for the forthcoming production."
More details about the society can be found online at www.aaos.org.uk/index.htm and tickets are available from Cynthia Hill on 01789 763446 or the box office two weeks before the show on 65203.
