A TEAM of Alcester girls are celebrating after clinching a league and cup double in their first season.
The Alcester 2000 footballers clinched league honours when they cruised through the season unbeaten - dropping just two points along the way.
And earlier this month they beat Brinklow Girls 2-1 to lift the Coventry & District League Cup.
In a thrilling cup tie the teams were drawing 1-1 at the end of normal time and the sides were still locked together until four seconds from the end of extra time when Alcester grabbed the winner.
