A PRESENTATION cigarette lighter picked up in South Harrow, near Wendover, Buckinghamshire, in April, handed to the police, bore the inscription D Horwood, Redditch Round Table 1948 - 51.
The was no other clue to the owner and no-one came forward to claim it.
The local police sent a message to Redditch police asking if they could help in tracing the owner.
Redditch police contacted a members of the Round Table, who was able to tell them that the lighter belonged to the Rev Dennis Horwood, former minister of Redditch Baptist Church.
The lighter was presented to the Rev Horwood, a founder member of Redditch Round Table, when he left the town in 1951.
