THE wife of Reverend Depard, curate of Arrow, was summoned for riding a bicycle on the footpath in Arrow Road, Alcester.
Police Constable Watts stated he saw defendant ride some distance on the path.
In reply to a question, witness said the road was in good condition with the exception of a few loose stones.
Lord Hertford remarked the road was in a very bad state - so much so that he himself wrote to the Midland Railway Company on the matter.
Fined 2s 6d, costs remitted.
