DO you have the attitude of Arctic Monkeys, the song-writing skills of Kaiser Chiefs, the voice of Katherine Jenkins?

Bands and musicians in Wyre Forest have a week left to register for Local Heroes, a nationwide project that aims to root out undiscovered local talent.

It is being run by Newsquest Media Group, owners of the Shuttle/Times & News, in conjunction with partners Virtual Festivals.com, Bandwagon.co.uk, HMV, Roundpoint and Yamaha.

Two bands will win a summer tour, playing at six major music festivals, as part of the online talent search - with fans, new and old, helping to choose the winners.

The remaining bands and musicians registered with Local Heroes will find themselves part of an online community, which has been designed to help budding local music scenes flourish further afield.

To find out more, visit the Shuttle/Times & News website on www.thisiskidder

minster.co.uk and click on the Local Heroes logo at the top of the page.

You will be able to register a band profile, make songs available for download, post pictures and blogs, and chat with fans.

Then all you need to do is get your fanbase interacting through the site. The busier your homepage, the more points you or your band will accrue.

The top acts from each of nine regions will go on to play a live national final in London, with the top two going on the summer festival tour.

Closing date for registration is June 1.
