STEPHEN Moore believes the team spirit in the New Road dressing room played a big part in Worcestershire salvaging a draw from their Liverpool Victoria County Championship game with Glamorgan.

The opener carried his bat for an unbeaten 53 as the County slumped to 117-9, but crucially Moore was able to farm the strike and protect the tail sufficiently as Steve Rhodes' men hung on for a battling draw.

Moore said: "Those situations can be quite tough, but you can learn a lot from them and it was nice to get away with a draw after fighting hard.

"Kabir (Ali) and Zaheer (Khan) fought really hard with me and it is nice when you have that team spirit and the guys want to fight for each other.

"The game was a complete contrast to the Surrey game -- when we were the attacking side and we really went at them and won the game.

"The draw against Glamorgan showed another side to the team -- that we can battle and come through when we have our backs against the walls.

"I was seeing the ball OK, but in that king of situation you have to not let the state of the match get to you and just play it like any other game of cricket. That's what I tried to do and thankfully it paid off."
