BRIAN Quarterman's rink win at Bredon proved a crucial triumph as Evesham ove-rcame the home side by 16 shots in last Fri-day's Willersey Provi-sions Cup.
The Evesham skip recorded a 28-16 win but that was the visiting side's solitary success on the road.
Tina Hill's rink dro-pped seven shots on the third end but fought back to draw level after 20 only to drop three on the last in a 24-21 rev-erse.
Peter Bryan's Four lost out by two shots but Evesham still finished up leading by seven shots and the match result dependent on happenings at Avon Street.
Skips Dave Welch and Gary Hunt were both successful and that secured victory despite a narrow loss for Michael Exton's rink.
