BROADWAY'S ladies are in fine form having qualified for the National Championships in two disciplines.
At the County Two-Wood Singles in Worcester last Wednesday, Di Jackson and Sue Davies fought through their early rounds to reach the semi-finals, where success will now see them come face to face in the County Final at the end of July.
The following day, the semi-finals of the County Rinks were played at Malvern, and both semi-finalists from Broadway were again victorious.
Davies, Viv Hall, Bridget Cresswell and Elaine Crosbie won their game against a Pershore rink, while Jackson, Debbie Compton, Yvonne Hop-kins and Jeanette Barnes overcame their Gilt Edge opponents.
The Broadway rinks will now meet in the County Final and the finalists in both the Rinks and the Two-Wood Singles competitions will all go on to represent Worcestershire in the National Championships at Leamington in August.
Broadway will also be represented in this week's county Triples semi-finals at Worcester in the shape of Cresswell, Compton and Sue Warren.
To complete a successful week, the club's ladies entertained Pershore in the Concorde League last Saturday and ran out the overall winners 72-64.
