STUDENT Rob Beddall will be following the same path as screen legends Robert Redford and Lauren Bacall after being selected for a place in one of America's most famous acting schools.
The 21-year-old has been accepted to study an Associated Arts degree at the Amacademy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles.
The school has been a conveyor belt for talented actors since it started in 1888, giving the likes of Redford, Bacall and Edward G Robinson a good grounding in acting.
Rob said: "I couldn't believe my luck when I got the call to say that I'd been accepted. It's a fantastic opportunity I've been given and I can't wait until September when I actually fly out."
Rob, from Wychbold, has just completed a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at Kidderminster College, before auditioning for drama schools.
He has been a member of The Bite Size Theatre Company for a year and recently played Banquo in Macbeth.
He will study basic acting techniques, movement and study plays during his first year as a student.
However, if he wishes to stay on another year at the college and fulfil his dreams of becoming an actor Robert will need sponsorship to complete the course.
Anyone interested in sponsoring Robert can contact him in 07817 467155.
