SOME time ago, I wrote a letter to Your View, in part criticising The Artrix, the new arts centre in Bromsgrove.
At the time, I felt it offered a very limited and conservative set of events and had been badly managed.
Having since this time attended a number of events there I would like to report that I think we have an excellent venue in Bromsgrove.
How lovely to see current films in comfort. Also, not only can you look at the work of local artists there most of the time, but the live music has become a great feature. My family attended the recent Ralph McTell concert at the venue and it was excellent. The sound and ambiance was first rate and it was completely full!
This illustrates that Bromsgrove does have a fan base for good events and that having a good line-up at The Artrix can bring profit.
