HAVING seen the front page story on May 24 - 'Off The Buses' - I have thought of a couple of reasons why our so called bus service is losing passengers.

1) Being the fares - if you travel only four stops in the Bromsgrove area you are charged £1.35 compared with the same in Birmingham, where it would be classed as a short hop, so an 80p fare.

2) I live on Old Birmingham Road and see one bus every hour to Bromsgrove town, so if you miss one you then have nearly a two hour wait for another. This service ends at 5.10pm so there are no buses in the evenings. Of course none of this wouldn't be a problem if I lived in Sidemoor or Charford, where you get a bus every 20 minutes.

I believe that if they were to just look at the above they would find a increase in passengers.
