IN my opinion Bromsgrove District Council is contravening the Disability Discrimination Act 2005.
My mother, who is 87 years old, disabled and has lived in Bromsgrove for 50 years, cannot purchase a parking permit because she does not own her own vehicle and relies on a carer to take her into Bromsgrove.
What is the local council trying to achieve? Certainly not to make Bromsgrove town centre more accessible.
