MANY thanks to the people of Bromsgrove who so generously supported our Annual Flag Day. In spite of the wet weather a grand total of £921was donated.
The RNLI is a registered charity that relies on voluntary contributions and legacies for its income and receives no government or lottery funding. The majority of RNLI crews are volunteers, whose everyday jobs include doctors, teachers, bricklayers, housewives and of course local fishermen.
The recent BBC television programme has done a great service in demonstrating the varied rescues carried out by the RNLI all around our coasts, not just the West Country and of course all the year round.
