A FAMOUS Redditch rock musician left a fortune of £856,498, it was discovered this week.
John Bonham, drummer of the leading rock band Led Zeppelin, died last September after a 12-hour drinking session at the home of the group's guitarist, Jimmy Page.
He was found dead in bed at the house near Windsor Castle.
John, aged 32, spent his childhood in Redditch; his parents home was in Enfield Road.
He was educated at the Lodge Farm High School.
Throughout the late 60s and 70s, Led Zeppelin became one of the top-paid rock groups in the world, earning millions of pounds.
But for all the group's success, John was really a shy family man and in a bid to avoid publicity, bought three farms in Worcestershire, living in one of them at Cutnall Green, near Droitwich.
