RIDERS from the Redditch Premiers club took part in the third round of the Midland BMX Summer Race Series at Bulwell, near Nottingham.

And the star performer was Tim Print who took the honours in the Cruiser Class after moving from third to first with a great move around one of the turns in the A final.

The other Redditch rider in the final didn't fare so well. Simon Gain had a big wipeout after coming together with another rider and finished eighth.

John Western won his B Final in 30+ Masters after an indifferent day's racing. He remains in top spot in this season's rankings but has been pegged back

In the A final, Jaime Glover beat everyone out of the gate from the outside but lost momentum and ended up eighth. Redditch teammate Keith Jones topped off a good day with an excellent second place.

Brian Thombs virtually sealed the number one plate in the 40+ Cruisers after taking second in the B final.

Of the juniors, six-year-old Harley Taylor was among the ten-year-olds in the B final where he finished fourth while Alice Gain, aged eight, raced in the 13/15-year-old girls where she finished fourth.

Chloe Lambert Print came third in the B final of the 11/15-year-old Novice boys and girls while James Day was third in the 14-year-old-boys.
