SIR - Even though this is perhaps the only good political issue that should cross Hadrian's Wall into England, I agree with Paul H Griffiths' comments about single transferable voting, since this is in step with proportional representation. Perhaps we will soon see serious changes in the behaviour of some of our so-called political representatives in Parliament.
