CLEOBURY MORTIMER BRIDGE CLUB - Playing a Mitchell movement over six tables, the results on Tuesday, May 16 were as follows. North/South was a very close finish with Doreen Round and Terry Lucey taking first place with 57 per cent and Jo and Norman Hall returning 56 per cent to take second place.
East/West was a different story with nine per cent separating first and second place. Joy and Gerald Link returned 66 per cent to take first place and Charles and Vera Smith with 57 per cent taking second place.
The results of the latest duplicate competition were as follows. North/South: in first place were Philip Stevenson and David Brown with 61 per cent with Liz Leslie and Sadie Sainsbury taking second place with 56 per cent. East/West: Wendy Duley and Philip Morgan took first place on 60 per cent and Steve Clifton and Nigel Wilkins were in second place on 55 per cent.
Following the recent committee meeting, it has now been agreed that the club can admit more members. Anyone wishing to join should telephone Pat Smith on 01299 270592 or Ruth Copp on 01584 890785 to book in.
The club meets every Tuesday evening with play commencing at 6.45pm prompt.
