ECKINGTON Parish Council will soon be making a few changes to the village's two entrances after receiving approval from the Highways department.
Planters full of flowers will be sited beneath the village nameplates at either end of the village on Pershore Road and Tewkesbury Road after villagers calls for the entrance to the village to become more noticeable.
It is hoped that with the planters in place, drivers will be more aware that they are entering a 'gateway' to the village and encourage them to slow their speed.
The planting display will be changed twice a year and sponsors are being sought for the planters.
