AROUND 450 plastic ducks floated along Kidderminster's canal to raise cash for a charity that supports children with life-limiting illnesses.
The annual duck race, organised by the town's carnival committee, was held on Saturday.
Kidderminster Carnival queen, Page-Leanne Price, launched competitors' ducks on their way, from beneath the roadbridge beside the Tesco store.
The overall winner, who earned a £100 trolley dash around the Co-op store in Franche, was A Siviter, whose duck was numbered 291. Other placings were second Jez Levell, 468, third Rita Bridge, 365 and fourth Liam Beard, 441.
Proceeds from the event go to Acorns Children's Hospice, which has a site in Worcester.
