A KIDDERMINSTER pub will be rocking to the sound of foot-tapping rhythm and blues next week.
Bluestack will take to the stage at Jacksons in Marlpool Lane on Saturday, June 17 to perform their music inspired by the likes of Tommy Castro, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore and Chris Farlowe.
The band has members from Kidderminster, Worcester and Evesham and is made up of guitarist, Gary Oswell, singer Garry Lippett, bass player, Eric Screen, and drummer Russ Merrick.
Gary, who lives in Kidderminster, said: "It's great to be playing on your home turf. People seem to love what we do. We really go for it and drive it along."
He and Garry have written and recorded with members of Mott the Hoople, whose best known hit was All The Young Dudes.
The group has just finished writing new material, which is to be recorded in London later this year. Garry said: "The new stuff is completely different to what we do live. What we do in the studio is very measured and precise but live we just love to cut loose and let it rip.
"We also use some great percussion live, including congas."
