WAYNE Brown has completed his move to Hereford United on a permanent deal.

Goalkeeper Brown spent the whole of last season on loan at Edgar Street from Chester City, making 36 appearances and helping steer the Bulls to the Football League.

The 29-year-old had one year left on his contract at the Deva Stadium, but an agreement was struck between the two clubs.

Bulls director of football Graham Turner made it one of his top priorities to sign Brown once United defeated Halifax Town in last month's Conference play-off final.

And he was always likely to snap up Brown, who was unhappy at Chester despite being their longest serving player with almost 300 appearances to his name.

"We reached a settlement with Wayne and the deal with Hereford has been done," said Chester chairman Stephen Vaughan.

Despite luring the stopper, Turner must now turn his attention to securing a cover goalkeeper following Craig Mawson's exit.

Mawson, 27, re-joined his old club Halifax after spending almost two years with the Bulls.

Meanwhile, Hereford United have increased season ticket and admission prices for the 2006/07 League Two season.

Despite the increase, the prices are among the cheapest in the division.

Adult match prices are £15 stand and £13 terrace and for under 16s and 65 or overs, £12 stand and £9 terrace.

After the first five games, admission will increase by £1 if the Bulls are positioned seventh or higher in the league.

Under 16s who buy tickets at least 24 hours before a league game pay £7 stand (family stand only) and £6 terrace.

Season ticket prices are as follows: Merton Stand (Blocks B, C & D): adult £300, child/senior £224; Merton Stand (Block A): adult and one child £350, adult and two children £390, adult and three children £425, two adults and one child £600, two adults and two children £635, senior citizens £200; Len Weston Stand: adult £300, child/senior £224; Ground: adult £260, child/senior £180.

If a child under 16 purchases a season ticket from June 12 until July 14, they pay £130 stands and £100 terrace.
