CHADDESLEY Corbett reached the regional final of the npower Village Cup when a powerful batting display set them up for a 63-run verdict over neighbours Belbroughton on Sunday.
The villagers, who have hit more than 200 runs in each of their three matches in the competition so far, now play host to Astwood Bank in the Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Powys final on Sunday, June 18.
The foundations for Chaddesley's win on Sunday were laid by Matt Bowden who came in at number four and hit an impressive 90. He was well supported by Mark Webster (56) and skipper Mark Coward (46) as they raced to 196-5 in their 40 overs.
Belbroughton were up with the required run rate in the early stages of their reply but when Ian Chambers removed mainstay Geoff Day for 98, their chances of victory ended.
Medium-pacer Chambers went on to take three wickets as Belbroughton were bowled out for 233.
