CHILDREN from Bretforton First School joined a Vale musician for a sing along as World Cup fever continues to gather pace.

The youngsters joined in with Bretforton man Bruno Gallone's unofficial World Cup anthem Forever England, and waved their St George's flags enthusiastically at the Fleece Inn.

Bruno, aged 43, admits his tune has become something of an unlikely success as he originally wrote the song for someone else, but since his first appearance in the Journal in May, his fame around the Vale has rocketed.

He said: "I really didn't think that it would be very successful and I know it wont last for long so I am enjoying all of the attention it has been getting.

"So far I have appeared on Midlands Today and Central News this week, and the song has enjoyed plenty of air time on radio as well as being involved in a poll of the best World Cup song releases on Talksport.

"A lot of my friends and local pub owners have been asking for a copy of the song to play before matches, which in turn gave me the idea of sending it to every World Cup Stadium in Germany."
