A NEW carer support group is set to be launched in Kidderminster .
Worcestershire Association of Carers is inviting residents, who care for people on an unpaid basis, to attend the first meeting at St Chad CE Church Hall on Thursday, June 15.
It will give carers the opportunity to meet other people in similar circumstances and offer a welcome break, according to spokeswoman, Mary Phillips.
The association, which has branches throughout the county, will be particularly looking at the importance of the carer's health and their emotional well-being this year.
Its aim is to offer information and advice about services and benefits and a regular newsletter is distributed to keep carers in touch.
The meeting will start at 2pm. For further information, contact Maggie Parker on 01905 26500.
