THE search for missing builder Michael John Hall came to a conclusion this week following the discovery of his body in the River Avon at Hampton Ferry on Tuesday morning.
Officers had been searching for the 55-year-old who was last seen on Wednesday, May 31 in Summerfield Gardens, Hampton.
Mr Hall's son-in-law filed a missing person's report at around 9pm after a neighbour reported seeing him in an agitated state.
Following the missing person's report, police launched a major hunt with rescue services and extra police were drafted in from Redditch.
Dog handlers were called in and the ambulance service's inland search and rescue team joined the operation.
The search was concentrated on a massive area of grassland near Peewit Road in Hampton and surrounding areas near St Andrews School, Rosemary Close in the town.
During the search, a police helicopter was also drafted in for a period and firefighters searched the River Avon in a search and rescue boat.
Police and firefighters retrieved Mr Hall's body shortly after 10am on Tuesday.
He was formally identified yesterday.
