AN ENTERPRISING Kidder-minster business has been coining it in by making colourful banners for pubs, clubs and fans.

Phones at the design company, i4media, have been red hot since its website offering the patriotic signs went live two weeks ago.

It is the first time the firm, set up by long-time friends, Simon Blunt and Andrew Newton, in 2000, has offered the specific service to football mad customers.

Designers at the Dixon Street site already make signs for 1,200 pubs up and down the country and are hoping to give clients even more choice for future events.

Mr Blunt, a former pupil at Wolverley's Heathfield School, said: "Most banner companies on the internet only offer a basic St George cross with England written through the centre. We just thought we could offer people something a little bit different.

"All of our designs have sold well. I would probably say our design with the flag and David Beckham has sold the most. We have sold about 40 of the 50ft by 5ft banners but we could print up to 100 metres long if we had to.

"The majority of our business has come from pubs but we have had a few fans ring up for their own banners."
