WORCESTER'S Old Vigornians travelled to Gloucestershire to take on Tewkesbury and suffered a 30-run defeat.
Due to the Elton John concert, a few key players were missing.
After seven overs the hosts had made 73 without loss.
First Phil Mackie and Ed Lewis, and then James Gommersall and Phil Burden, reined the batsmen in. Mackie removed the Indian opener, Nethula for 81.
Burden took 2-36 from his eight overs, after keeping wicket for the first half of the innings. Mackie also kept wicket for 20 overs, taking a sharp chance standing up, to remove Bewle for 39, off Charlie Annable.
Against good accurate bowling the OVs quckly fell behind the run rate.
Rob Horton made 20 and Will Terry 18, but when Mackie joined Burden, they needed 135 off 13 overs.
The pair shared a 105 run partnership, but the OVs ultimately fell 30 runs short.
Mackie was out for 46 off the last ball of the match, Burden scored an undefeated 101.
