MELLOW out this summer with this excellent album from electro wizards Sam Hardaker and Henry Binns.
The pair's third release under the guise of Zero 7 has plenty going for it. Soulful Swedish strummer Jose Gonzalez and Aussie songstress Sia Fuller impress on an album packed with smooth tunes straight from the chiller.
The album starts with Futures, a melancholic Gonzalez number, before Fuller cranks up the tempo with the excellent Throw It All Away - one of the best on the album.
Fuller's vocal talents have been used by Hardaker and Binns before but she is given more freedom here and revels in it.
The Pageant of The Bizarre is another well crafted offering with Fuller at the centre while the catchy You're My Flame has the singer at her best.
The Garden sees Zero 7 working with Phill Brown, who had great success with Brian Eno and Talk Talk and his input makes this album a little more accessible than previous ones.
There are touches of Eno but with Fuller's vocals pivotal, Portishead and Goldfrapp are more obvious comparisons.
Sure to be one of this summer's top sounds.
