THE annual resolutions meeting was held in Fairfield village hall. Mary Fairbairn, the vice president, led the meeting. It was agreed that last month's social evening was a great success and all hoped that the format will be repeated next year.

Audrey Hodgeson has completed and sent off the application form to the Heritage Lottery Fund. If accepted we will be enjoying a free educational visit to the WI's own Denman College. Ann Griffin said that this year's annual outing will be to Ludlow. Arrangements for the Bromsgrove and Hillside Group trip to Wedgewood and Trentham are being finalised. This promises to be a lovely day out and includes a tour of the Wedgewood factory and entry to the Italian gardens at Trentham.

Today (Wednesday) we will be enjoying our garden meeting. As a change from previous years, it will be held in the village hall. An expert speaker has been booked and afterwards there will be a treat of scones, jam and cream. Congratulations to our member Janice Boswell, who has been elected vice chairman of Bromsgrove District Council. Good wishes go to her for a successful year. The competition for a plate of biscuits was won jointly by Carole Hine and Ellen Crawford - Hilda Cleaver was third. All the entries were then auctioned by Ann Griffin.
