AS a local resident, and a parent of children that have attended Charford First School, I am writing with regard to the problem of parking at the Sugarbrook.

I am in agreement with the pub as this has been a problem for some years!

The school has sent out many letters and reminders that the pub carpark and of course, their own, is not to be used as a drop-off or pick-up point. After all, the pub is a home as well as a business and unauthorised parking is a problem anywhere. Why should a pub be different?

The parking for the school is inadequate and local residents also get 'stuck' by these inconsiderate people who park where they stop. They park in garages and block entrances to access roads and even park along drop curb drives.

Maybe if they thought about where they park, things would be a different matter. After all would they like us to block them in?
