THIRTY teams from primary schools will take part in next season's Cotswold Floorball League.

The increase in numbers has necessitated a split into six boys'/mixed divisions and two girls' divisions. Matches will be slightly shorter at this stage to enable a group (ten matches) to be completed in two weeks. All teams in a group will need to attend on both match nights.

All the preliminary matches should be completed before Christmas. There will then be a series of play-offs between new year and the February half-term.

The plan is to have every team involved at some stage and the finals will probably be played during early March.

There are two vacant spots in the league structure. Matches will usually be played on Tuesdays after school finishes although some games might need to be arranged for Thursday nights. Teams are made up of six players with substitutes allowed at any time and may be boys or mixed.

In the girls' divisions it is strictly girls only, but those players may also be part of a mixed team in another division.

Equipment can be provided, but it is better to bring your own sticks. UK representatives of Canadien/Salming and Fatpipe are importing sticks for sale to schools.
