THE smash hit musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, is a glorious romp and a brimful of hand clapping, effervescent energy, dazzling dance routines and 16 smash hit songs and it's on at Malvern Theatres from June 26 prior to its run in the West End.

Dave Willetts, plays Adam Pontipee, the role created by Howard Keel. His West End starring roles are numerous and include Ragtime, Cats, Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera. Shona Lindsey (West End starring roles include Phantom of the Opera and Grease) plays Milly Pontipee.

Meanwhile that gritty and classic northern tale - A Taste of Honey, is playing at the Festival Theatre.

Shelagh Delaney's brilliant script was turned into a film some 40 years ago and is still as bright as ever. The production at Malvern has a strong cast, starring ex-Emmerdale Samantha Giles. Disappointing in parts though. VW
