A MAN in his 50s was left with cuts and bruises after he was attacked by a group of youths.
He was walking along the footpath behind Matchborough Centre, near the footbridge over the river, between 6pm and 9pm on June 4.
A group of boys aged 15-16 walked towards him and then assaulted him.
Pc Helen Bray said: "We are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to come forward and for anyone who recalls seeing such a group near Matchborough Centre that Sunday evening to get in touch as you may have important information to help our inquiries."
