THE Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), who lit up the 1970s with the band's brand of showmanship and pop music, bring their UK tour to Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre this Sunday (June 18).

Original band members Louis Clark, Mik Kaminski and Kelly Groucutt are joined by ELO Part II founders Eric Troy, Parthenon Huxley and Gordon Townsend for the UK reunion tour.

The band decided to reform after the success of CD The Very Best of the Electric Light Orchestra - All Over the Word, which hit nunber four in the British album charts and has sold over 250,000 copies.

The ELO were one of the most successful bands of the 1970s, spending 255 weeks on the singles chart and 393 on the album. The band have sold over a hundred million records worldwide.
