TALENTED young performers will be in the spotlight at Kidderminster's Rose Theatre tomorrow for their end-of-season extravaganza.

The theatre's Youth Group will present a selection of extracts from plays including Our Day Out by Willy Russell and Dear Nobody by Berlie Doherty at 7pm.

The money raised by the production will be divided between the youth group and Blackberry Way Bereavement Services, which was set up after the Brambles Trust went into voluntary liquidation several weeks ago.

The organisation, which is made up of a new group of trustees, aims to carry on the work of the former trust helping children come to terms with the death of a close family member.

Youth theatre director, Emma Lashford, said the performers wanted the money raised from their show to help other young people in Wyre Forest.

She said rehearsals were going well and they were looking forward to the production, adding: "We have some very talented youngsters and they will be putting on a great show for a great cause."

Tickets will be not be sold in the usual manner but people will be asked to make a donation. Anyone wishing to find out more about the show or interested in joining the youth group contact 01562 743745.

On Saturday there will be live musical entertainment when the popular Blues at 10 Band takes to the stage.

The musicians will be making a return visit to the theatre to perform classic songs by stars including Jools Holland, John Mayall and Eric Clapton.

Tickets for the 8pm concert are available from 01562 743745.
