SAM Boden bowled Chaddesley Corbett to maximum points in their Crusader Worcestershire League division one second XI game with Kington.

Boden picked up 5-35 as Kington were bowled out for 128 in reply to Chaddesley's 172-6.

The result moved Chaddesley up to seventh in the table.

Elsewhere in division one, Brockhampton lost to Alvechurch by five wickets, despite Peter Edwards' unbeaten 87.

Alvechurch reached 246-5 to surpass Brockhampton's total of 245-5.

Bromyard thrashed Romsley by 252 runs, Droitwich beat Pershore by seven wickets and Eastnor beat Barnards Green by eight wickets.

In second XI division two, Worcester Nomads travelled to Harborne and after lost by five wickets.

Reg Dixon (42), captain Andy Leach (70) and Rich Lisle (70) gave Nomads a credible score of 262-8.

In reply, James made 98no for Harborne and Coley added 56 as the Birmingham-based side reached their total with two overs remaining for the loss of 5 wickets.

Worcester's Old Vigornians Seconds took on Monmouth with just eight men in division three south due to the England football match.

However, they batted gamely and made 170-7.

Mark Foster made 42 and Phil Mackie batted with uncharacteristic patience for 30 overs to finish on 59no.

Even though Foster picked up a wicket with his first ball, Monmouth made the target easily in 30 overs.

The left-hander I Morgan batted superbly for 113no.

Also in division three south, Mark Boskett hit 66no to lead Birlingham to a nine-wicket win over Old Elizabethans, after John Shepherd had taken 6-28 to dismiss OEs for just 106.

Colwall beat Himbleton by 85 runs, Rushwick beat Martley by nine wickets and Wormelow beat Hanley.
