YOUNGSTERS from Fladbury C of E School have reached the regional finals of the Baby Bio National Schools Growing Competition.
The pupils, who took part along with 12 other Worcestershire schools, will flock to Blooms garden centre in Worcester this weekend with their own grown plants to be judged by BBC Hereford and Worcester's Mike George and Kinder Garden Plants.
"We are hoping that as many of the children who have been taking part as possible will bring their plants to the centre for judging," said Nikki Gow, organiser of the competition for Blooms.
"We have got lots going on as well as the competition. As it is the first day of the World Cup we have arranged for Worcester City Football Club to come up to the centre for a beat the goalie competition. We've also got Mercia Ferret Rescue bringing along ferrets and Worcestershire Wildlife Trust coming along to do some activities with the children."
Everyone who takes part in the competition will receive a prize and the winning school will receive a £300 voucher. The winning child will get to take their plant to BBC Gardener's World Live at the NEC on Sunday, June 18.
